Six Months and Some Firsts

Reece is growing up so fast and doing so many new things, I feel like I can't keep up with this blog fast enough! I realize that you people don't need to know everything that goes on in the Perez lives, but it is fun to share! She is also becoming a ham. Every time I get the camera out, she flashes her million dollar, toothless grin.
This is Reece's first experience with sweet potatoes. We have now moved on to carrots and even applesauce. Oh, but don't even mention the word "yams" around her...it was a bad experience for the both of us.
This is Reece's 6 month picture taken on May 12. The day before, she had her first fever of 101. It is not fun having a sick baby. So much for sleeping through the night!!
My first Mother's Day and Reece's dedication day! She was feeling a little bit better. The fever was gone, but the day after this she started with a really bad cold complete with runny nose, cough and sneezing. Will we ever sleep again!?! It is in those moments of a crying baby at 2AM that I should just let Daniel sleep through it. The other night (at 2AM), he said, "One child is enough for us!" I think it was just the sleepiness talking! :)

Happy Belated Mother's Day

My Mom sent me a really sweet Mother's Day card, and this is what it said:

Being a Mother means loving more that you knew you could love,

giving more that you knew you could give,

it means receiving so much more in return...

It means sharing a connection that keeps surprising you

with its depth and strength.

Being a mother means knowing that whatever else you did or didn't do,

you gave the world something beautiful.

I love being a mother!!

Five month picture

This is Reece's five month picture. We went and got her pictures taken on her 5 month birthday (a few weeks back). She wasn't in the greatest mood, but we got a few good ones. We went to Portrait Innovations. They are really good there.
